The Christmas event takes place on Christmas Eve, whilst the New Years exhibition is on the 31st of December. At both events there is a torch lit procession down the mountain that guests may participate in for a small fee.

Rusutsu celebrates the Chinese New Year in style. In the evening there is a synchronised skiing display on the Eva Course, followed by an extensive Rusutsu fireworks exhibition. The 2017 Chinese New Year falls on the 28th of January.
