Rusutsu Resort is the single largest resort in Hokkaido. Three mountains; West, East and Isola cover over 170 hectares and boast 37 courses of varying difficulty. Hooded high-speed quad chairlifts and six-seater gondolas make for an impressive lift system.
The 12 red courses in Rusutsu are wide, gentle and perfectly groomed on a daily basis. Often you will find yourself alone during your descent, something unheard of in most resorts across the world. The tranquil emptiness of Rusutsu’s trails make it the perfect haven for intermediate skiers.
At first glance Rusutsu may appear to lack in challenges for the more advanced skier, however it is perhaps most famous for its powder and tree-skiing. There are five lift accessed valleys that are full of fresh powder to be skied, providing enough terrain to keep even the most advanced skiers occupied for years.
